Students shared junk food investigations with 6th graders, who in turn conducted further investigations of their own and presented their findings/ investigations to high school students using presentation boards.
2015 - Jitterbugs!
Students designed, built. and raced "jitterbugs" - small robots that use an eccentric weight on an electric motor to dance down a track.
Education outreach specialists from NASA led two groups of teachers through grade-level appropriate, standards-aligned problem-solving exercises for elementary and secondary students. They shared an interesting fact - funding for NASA education outreach is tied to missions. So all the educational resources are linked from mission home pages.
